Position description:
SoftBank Group International is looking for a high-performing analyst to join our Investment Team. As part of the deal team, you’ll help diligence, structure, finance, and execute both transactions and strategic initiatives in the technology sector, as well as assist in monitoring portfolio companies. The role is a blend of traditional venture capital investments and operational strategic projects.
You’ll work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with frequent opportunities to interact with
the firm’s senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities:
Support due diligence, financial modeling & returns analysis, deal negotiations and investment committee material preparation
Conduct primary & secondary market research, including market sizing, value chain analysis, pricing & margin analysis, supply & demand trends, competitive analysis, etc.
Develop executive-level materials to communicate results and insights with senior leaders (e.g., through live presentations and ongoing analysis/reports)
Support end-to-end strategic projects by managing project financials, coordinating with cross-functional teams & partners, negotiating commercial contracts, and driving project execution & KPIs
Evaluate & support M&A, strategic buyout, joint ventures, and key partnerships
Actively monitor portfolio companies and help with key strategic projects for portfolio companies
Travel required up to 25% of the time
Required Qualifications:
Post-BA/BS at the top universities, pre-
2+ years’ work experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity at leading tier 1 firms
Extensive experience in financial modeling
Exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
Driven, self-starter with high ownership mentality, passion for excellence and tolerance for ambiguity and change
Deep analytical, research and technical skills
