We are seeking a highly organized, detail-obsessed Venture Deal Lead to own end-to-end deal execution and operational administration across our investment activities. This individual will serve as the central coordinator for all parties involved in a transaction—target companies, internal investment teams, legal counsel, third-party advisors, and co-investors.
The Venture Deal Lead ensures that every deal progresses smoothly, efficiently, and with flawless documentation. The position includes two dedicated support staff who will assist with data gathering, tracking, document management, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution Management
Drive transactions from diligence through close, ensuring timelines, tasks, and deliverables remain on track.
Coordinate with founders/target companies to collect data, diligence materials, and documentation.
Manage interactions with legal counsel to ensure term sheets, SPAs, subscription docs, and side letters are accurately drafted and executed.
Liaise with external advisors (tax, financial, technical, regulatory) and ensure all reports and findings are delivered on time.
Oversee investor coordination, including capital call notices, updates, and co-investor workflows.
Transaction Administration & Documentation
Own document controls and version management; ensure clean, organized files.
Draft and manage timelines, closing checklists, workflows, and responsibility matrices.
Track all signature pages, approvals, consents, wire instructions, and closing deliverables.
Maintain records of past deals and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Internal Coordination & Leadership
Serve as the operational backbone of the deal team, ensuring leadership has complete visibility into status, issues, and dependencies.
Manage and mentor two support staff, delegating tasks to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary point-of-contact for all transaction stakeholders.
Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication across founders, co-investors, lawyers, and internal teams.
Provide regular updates, risk flags, and action items to senior leadership.
