About The Role

We are hiring a Venture Associate to represent Sixty Degree Capital on the ground in Silicon Valley. You will spend your time in the ecosystem, meeting founders, operators, investors and strategic partners, bringing back the companies and themes that warrant the investment team’s attention. You will also support the work behind those opportunities, from market mapping and company research through to the analysis that informs an investment decision.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with founders, venture investors, technology leaders and strategic partners across Silicon Valley.
• Represent Sixty Degree Capital at startup events, conferences and ecosystem gatherings.
• Identify emerging investment opportunities and support early-stage deal sourcing, maintaining a well-qualified pipeline for the investment team.
• Conduct market research and company analysis, including competitive landscapes, market sizing, and assessment of founders and teams.
• Support investment evaluation and diligence, preparing clear written summaries and recommendations for the investment team.
• Track developments across AI, cybersecurity, defense, space and healthcare technology, and surface what matters to the wider team.

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above from a leading university (Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Ivy League or equivalent preferred).
• Up to three years of professional or internship experience in venture capital, technology companies, startups, consulting, investment banking or a related field. Exceptional recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to research an unfamiliar market or company and form an independent point of view.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication, with the ability to represent the firm credibly in front of founders and investors.
• A natural relationship builder, with strong networking ability.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently. An established or emerging network in the Bay Area technology community is an advantage.

Strong candidates may come from an early-stage venture firm, a high-growth technology company, a startup operating role, management consulting or investment banking. Profiles may include recent graduates of leading programs, early-career investors, founders’ associates, or operators who want to move into investing.
