The Growth and Ops Intern role
Ripple Ventures is expanding the team with a Growth and Ops Intern to help us with our growth engine and in-person community. We run events that connect founders, operators, and investors across the tech community, from fireside chats and founder dinners to builder hangs and co-working sessions. This role is all about supporting the brainstorming, planning, and scaling of these events, as well as scaling our marketing and content strategy by managing our social media presence and creating engaging content for our community.
Please note: this is not an investing role.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead the planning of end-to-end event logistics with the Ripple Ventures team, new and existing corporate partners, sponsors, and external vendors.
- Manage and create content with copy, videos, and photos for social media channels, for both Ripple Ventures and the Tank Talks Podcast — including long-form writing (blog/newsletter), short-form video (Reels/TikTok/Shorts), podcast clips and distribution for Tank Talks, event recap content, founder spotlights, and more.
- Help scale our Tank Talks Podcast with guest research, booking coordination, clip cutting, distribution, and YouTube SEO.
- Manage the Ripple community by creating, managing, and tracking community lists.
- Facilitate and coordinate in-person event operations (e.g., checking in guests, conversing with attendees, facilitating conversations).
Who we're looking for
- You're already using AI tools for your personal workflows and content, follow tech Twitter/X, and have opinions on which startups are doing content well.
- Fluent in tools like Riverside, Descript, CapCut, Runway, Midjourney/Sora, Notion AI, and Claude/ChatGPT.
- Plugged into startup communities, with prior experience organizing events from small get-togethers to large hackathons and conferences.
- Energized by meeting new people and acting as a conduit that connects like-minded people.
- A clear, reliable, and organized communicator who can juggle multiple stakeholders across different projects.
- A fast learner, proactive and resourceful. You thrive in flat, non-hierarchical work environments.
- Experience with photography, videography, and/or graphic design, and comfortable with editing software.
- No specific degree, GPA, or school is required.
The details
- Location: Downtown office, Toronto, Ontario — fully in-person.
- Type: Part-time, 3 days per week (24 hours per week).
- Duration: July 6, 2026 – August 28, 2026, with a possible extension into fall (Sept 1 – Dec 1, 2026) or a full-time role based on performance.
