your mission

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant (f/m/d) to join our finance team. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll support the day-to-day financial operations of redalpine and its portfolio companies, taking ownership of core accounting and reporting processes.

You’ll be responsible for bookkeeping, monthly and annual closings, and for supporting audit and tax processes. You’ll also contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and the continuous improvement of internal finance processes and controls.

The role offers hands-on exposure to the financial backbone of a leading venture capital firm and is ideal for someone who enjoys precision, ownership, and collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


  • Independent management of the in-house accounting for the Swiss entity (Swiss Code of Obligations) and coordination of external service providers for GER & UK.
  • Participation in the monthly and annual financial statements of the Swiss entity and support during audits.
  • Preparation and review of VAT reconciliations and filings for Switzerland.
  • Management and optimization of the expense process and tools.
  • Support in budgeting as well as preparation and analysis of rolling forecasts and target/actual comparisons.
  • Close collaboration with the finance team and regular reporting to the Head of Finance.
  • Handling of diverse ad-hoc tasks and active involvement in cross-functional projects.

your profile

  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a fiduciary office, the financial industry, or a similar role.
  • Relevant further education in accounting (e.g.Sachbearbeiter/in Rechnungswesen, Treuhandsachbearbeiter/in, Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen is a plus)  
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (OR) and tax regulations.
  • You work meticulously and accurately, maintaining an overview even in complex tasks.
  • Your reliability, hands-on mentality, and proactive approach set you apart.
  • You are a flexible team player who takes responsibility even in challenging situations and works collaboratively towards shared goals.
  • You are passionate about the world of VCs and funds.
  • You have strong Excel skills and an affinity for data-driven analysis.
  • Experience with Abacus or other finance tools is a plus for this role.
  • You communicate fluently in German and English.
  • You already have a Swiss residence permit.
