Knoll Ventures

Founded in 2018 and based in Atlanta, GA, Knoll Ventures invests in Pre-Series A tech enabled B2B companies. In Spring 2022, we closed our second fund to support founders at the earliest stages of the growth process where we help drive value creation and increase the odds of success. Our‍ approach We lead or co-lead $500,000 to $3,000,000 investment rounds in B2B technology-enabled companies at the pre-seed, seed, and post-seed stages. We understand that no two early-stage companies take the same path from Point A to Point B, and we're adept at helping founders navigate their way. We look for passionate founders who see around corners, intimately understand customer pain points, and articulate a future vision that feels all but inevitable. Stage Expertise: By focusing on Pre-Series A companies, we've developed a unique perspective on the challenges encountered by founders at this stage. Whether starting a business or facing what feels like an insurmountable obstacle, we aspire to be the first call a founder makes when looking for actionable advice. Alignment: We align ourselves with founders through our deep knowledge of round objectives and a scalable investment structure, creating a dynamic where we win only if the founders win. Network: We make the right introductions at the right time knowing that meaningful connections during this critical stage in the growth process can dramatically improve a company's trajectory. Our impact Our commitment extends far beyond the dollars invested. We take a long-term perspective when partnering with founders to identify ways to add value beyond just writing a check. Conductive Ventures

We are patient and committed investors with a view towards the entrepreneur’s long-term success. We take an artisan approach to venture capital because every company is unique and different. Our portfolio companies benefit from our extensive enterprise relationships by building strategic partnerships and accelerating revenue. The strength of our firm resides in our team approach to venture capital. STAGE: We invest in expansion-stage companies post product with early customer success. SECTORS: We focus on software, hardware and technology enabled services. VALUE-ADD: We help entrepreneurs accelerate revenue and reduce costs. From Humble Beginnings to Lifetime Friends Our families came to America with a one-way ticket, little money, and our entire lives packed in a few suitcases. Growing up in immigrant households, we lived by stretching a dollar as far as possible. And in order to assimilate into the American culture, we’ve developed an insatiable curiosity to learn from anyone, anywhere. We do not take anything for granted. Even though we grew up with very little, we embraced the American Dream that by doing an honest day’s work, we can achieve success. Through grit and determination, we fought our way and worked all throughout our childhood and school to pay for our own education. Our paths crossed after college, where we became roommates and have remained friends for the past 15 years – and counting. We believe it’s not a coincidence that some of the most valuable and iconic technology companies in the U.S. were founded or co-founded by immigrants or children of immigrants. These entrepreneurs include Steve Jobs (Apple), Sergey Brin (Google), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Eduardo Saverin (Facebook), Larry Ellison and Bob Miner (Oracle), Andrew Viterbi (Qualcomm), Jensen Huang (Nvidia), Max Levchin, Luke Nosek, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk (PayPal), Jerry Yang (Yahoo), Pierre Omidyar (eBay), Eric Yuan (Zoom) and many more. Our history shapes our firm’s values of being budget conscious, building authentic relationships, and upholding integrity. We take our values seriously, and we consider ourselves lucky to have landed in venture capital careers where we can help the next generation of entrepreneurs with those similar values achieve their success. Our Professional Background Our careers have included experience in finance, operations, and venture capital. We have been trained by leaders and legends on Sand Hill Road having invested at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) and Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) – both firms were founded in the early 1970s and have backed some of the most iconic companies in the world including Amazon, Google, Netflix, and Twitter.

Shearwater Capital

We look similar, but we're fundamentally different to other venture funds. We've built our own businesses. We're investing our own money. We're not limited in what we can do. We invest in people, not ideas. We seek founders who are passionate about building generationally great companies. We focus on fast growth tech companies ...but we’re infinitely inquisitive Our depth of experience and lack of constraint are powerful when it comes to working with great founders. Our experience lends itself to founders of technology start-ups who are building growing businesses and who value our capital and experience. We look for growth equity positions, where we’re all on the same side of the table. Because we've been there before, we’re interested in simple capital tables with aligned, participating shareholders. Our best experiences have been when we're the only shareholder, and when we invested at inception. We don’t have a fund horizon or limitations. This lets us play the long-game for the truly outstanding companies. Our view is that it's your company and we'll do what we can to help you succeed. We're happy to buy founder or secondary shares where it makes sense. Fundamentally, what matters to us is that we back high integrity founders to build world-class businesses. Our Investment Focus This is what we value and look for in our investments. But we’re infinitely inquisitive (that is, we break rules!). So if your business doesn’t necessarily tick all these boxes and you are raising venture / growth capital or might in the future, please drop us a line (no, it doesn’t need to be a warm intro!) Great people: Passionate entrepreneurs that we like and want to work with. Complex domains: Companies that are solving significant problems. Business software: Software that has the capacity to be mission critical over time. Recurring revenue: Business models which are – or look like – recurring revenue. Growing markets: Markets that are rapidly growing (though we often find the best SaaS businesses start with small TAMs). Founders we can help: Companies and founders who have a deep ability to scale and learn and where we understand their domains.
