We are looking for a curious and motivated Intern for our established investment team in Asia to support our investment opportunities at Novo Holdings.
Novo Holdings is one of the world’s largest life science investors and our portfolio spans the entire range of life science development – from early-stage research to large and mature commercial players. We see tremendous long term investment opportunities in Asia given the robust growth, demographics and the increased focus on innovation and R&D. The Internship
You will be part of the Asia Investment team working out of our office located in Shanghai and will be immersed in the investment process. Your core tasks will include:
· Contributing to financial analyses of potential investment cases through valuation models
· Helping to shape investment themes through primary and secondary industry research
· Conducting industry research on potential investments and the markets they operate in
· Collecting, structuring, and efficiently communicating information on potential or existing investments
Depending on your capabilities and interests, you will have ample opportunities to take on more tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are currently enrolled in either a Bachelor's or Master's degree / MBA from a top-tier institution with strong academic results, and have prior relevant internship experience at a Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Financial Services company. You have a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
You enjoy working in a challenging entrepreneurial environment and have an interest in the sustainable development ecosystem as well as technology. You are passionate and highly motivated to learn about investments and portfolio management and can grasp new ideas and concepts quickly.
Furthermore, you have:
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Fluency in English and Mandarin
· An ability to work independently and with a high degree of personal initiative and integrity
· An attitude of a strong team player with a high level of commitment and outstanding analytical skills
· Strong financial analysis, writing, and presentation skills
· Excellent attention to detail, capable of producing work that is thorough and organized
· Willingness to commit to preferably 3 months’ internship duration, with the option for renewal
· Ability to work onsite at our Shanghai office for the full duration of the internship
