We all have a few things that truly move us, don't we.

The Cultural and Creative Industries are at the heart and soul of our society. They fuel our passions, spark our creativity and form our identity. Throughout human history, technology has constantly changed how we create, distribute and consume culture. Today we’re on the brink of yet another transformative wave.

Legendarium

At Legendarium we strive for a world where culture is more financially independent and people can equally access it to enrich their lives. HOW WE WORK50 ideas: Ideation The first stage is the search for an idea on a given topic; it involves analyzing trends, brainstorming, choosing problems to solve, and sometimes attracting third-parties to create a disruptive business idea. 15 products: Validation The second stage is to test the feasibility and scalability of the idea by conducting market research and going through internal selection mechanisms developed by the studio, including creating an MVP. 9 projects: Creation The third stage is the development process. The startup team begins to bring the idea to life, creating prototypes and improving them. The initial business plan and financial model are thought through. Work with the first customers begins. 3 startups: Spinning out and Scaling UP If the project passes the previous stage, the team becomes a separate startup and starts working on scaling the idea.

Spark Capital

We know there are no playbooks or rulebooks or formulas. Your culture is your company. It’s not about us. Nobody runs your company like you. Listening works. We have our own style. Products can make markets. Pattern-matching is for non-believers. Pitch decks aren’t everything. There’s no single right way to do this, but there are some pretty wrong ones. We invest in products we love, people, experiences, crazy, dreams, design, details, brains, reality, unreality, reinvention, new markets, weird stuff, The Future™, guts, independence, hustle, distinction, art, humanness, idealists, iconoclasts, oddities, optimism, communities, creation, surprises, technologists with the heart of an artist, each other. We love this job. To see impossible ideas made real. Not following the herd. Not being jerks. Committing. Having our minds blown. Sweating the details. Products - and actually using them. Swimming upstream. To prove the exceptions. Winning your way. Left and right brain. Form and function. The ups and downs and twists and turns of the decade-long journey. The chutzpah of founders. Dogs. We are here to do this with you.

Offline Ventures

We are a firm run by four entrepreneurs-turned-investors: Brit Morin, Dave Morin, Nate Bosshard and James Higa. Our mission is to back beautiful companies that matter in the world and elevate the well being of the founders who create this change. We are driven by a belief that the foundational technological breakthroughs which most benefit humanity are forged by diverse founders dwelling where science, engineering, art and design, and culture collide. The four of us have been in tech for quite awhile now, but we’ve never been this excited about the future, especially by the opportunities that live at the intersection of online and offline experiences that will give humans healthier and happier lives. As we explore these industries and opportunities and companies, we’re venturing to the far edges of fundamental humanist technological shifts in consumer, Web 3.0, women’s health, brain health, sustainability, and bringing the offline online. Founders are fellow artists as far as we’re concerned. Offline is the music studio where you come to write, record and mix your new album with us. And while you are busy innovating, we are purposeful about giving you the offline space we all need to find unbound creativity that can transform the world. On our mission to bring balance to our online and offline lives, we believe that this balance starts first with you as a founder. We know that too often founders are put in an unsustainable pressure cooker, where the demands of the job prevent even minimal levels of self-care. If professional athletes and artists are surrounded with the support and resources to keep their bodies and minds operating at peak performance, founders should be treated the same. As a firm, we are committed to ensuring that you receive comprehensive mental health and wellbeing support on your journey to build impactful companies. We announced our first fund of $100M today, as well as some very exciting investments in companies like Clubhouse, Bobbie, Pinata, Hedgehog, Potion, Kindbody, Ramble, Autumn Adeigbo and many more. We believe innovation happens at the edge of unreasonableness and we push our founders for as much diversity of expression, experience and perspective as humanly possible. We are very proud that this approach has not only led us to invest in some incredible companies, but has also resulted in more than half of Offline founders being women or people of color. Furthermore, as one of the first venture thought leaders in “web3,” we’ve dedicated nearly one-third of our portfolio to this emerging space. The promise of a decentralized internet is also one of a healthier internet, and we are eager to help fund and build its future. Yes, we said “build.” Because not only are we investing in companies, but we are inventing and incubating them as well. We are founders too, after all! Sometimes when we see a white space in a big market, we can’t help ourselves. Stay tuned for more news from us on that front. We couldn’t be doing all of this without our incredible supporters in the tech and investment world that share our vision of giving people healthier and happier lives. Partners like Apple, ICONIQ Capital, Parallel Advisors, Dolby Family Ventures, and individual investors and operators such as Marc Andreessen, Chris Dixon, Peter Theil, Josh Koppelman, Kevin Starr, Dan Rosensweig, Bryan Meehan, Kevin and Julia Hartz, Caterina Fake, Scott Belsky, Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Dr. Jordan Shlain and more. Plus, we’ve begun adding venture partners to our investing team, welcoming investor and entrepreneur Randi Zuckerberg to the roster this year. We are eternally grateful to be on this journey together with some of the best and brightest around. Changing the world in a meaningful way is no easy feat, but we are ready for the challenge. If you are working in one of the areas we are focused on, and excited about what you read here today, talk to us. We want to hear from you. If you like our mission and want to join us for the journey, we’re actively hiring for various roles. Send us a note and tell us about yourself. And now, we’re headed Offline and back to work.

Capital: When appropriate we will deploy our capital by directly investing in early-stage companies. Expertise: We will provide our expertise in the luxury market that we have cultivated for over 250 years – from consumer insights to marketing and technology.
