In the role of Senior Associate, you will report to the NAB Ventures Executive, that’s doubling down on winning together.

  • Work within a highly energetic and dynamic team.

In this Senior Associate role, you will

  • Identifying attractive investment opportunities.

  • Initiating, maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs and interacting with other venture investors, advisors, and colleagues at NAB.

  • Participating in the deal closing process.

  • Developing investment insights into areas of interest to the fund.

  • Undertaking various work related to supporting existing portfolio companies.

  • Collaborating with the team in all areas, but with a particular emphasis on providing financial analysis and due diligence support related to closing investment opportunities.

  • Building relationships with business leaders and an understanding of the industry, market & competitor trends.

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior work experience ideally at a venture capital fund, investment bank or consulting firm. Those with operating experience in business development, sales, product management or financial analyst roles will also be considered.

  • Excellent quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills.

  • Stakeholder management, relationship building, and strong communication skills with a proven track record engaging with and collaborating with the team, wider bank stakeholders and business sponsors, in addition to partners and at times other third parties.

  • Ability to think on your feet and to communicate up and down business streams (both verbally and in writing).

  • Demonstrable ability to build financial models and perform quantitative analysis necessary to assess unit economics and financial soundness.

  • An established industry network within the Melbourne/Sydney venture capital and entrepreneurial community.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, for example Business, Economics or Engineering.
