In this Senior Associate role, you will
Identifying attractive investment opportunities.
Initiating, maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs and interacting with other venture investors, advisors, and colleagues at NAB.
Participating in the deal closing process.
Developing investment insights into areas of interest to the fund.
Undertaking various work related to supporting existing portfolio companies.
Collaborating with the team in all areas, but with a particular emphasis on providing financial analysis and due diligence support related to closing investment opportunities.
Building relationships with business leaders and an understanding of the industry, market & competitor trends.
What You’ll Bring
Prior work experience ideally at a venture capital fund, investment bank or consulting firm. Those with operating experience in business development, sales, product management or financial analyst roles will also be considered.
Excellent quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills.
Stakeholder management, relationship building, and strong communication skills with a proven track record engaging with and collaborating with the team, wider bank stakeholders and business sponsors, in addition to partners and at times other third parties.
Ability to think on your feet and to communicate up and down business streams (both verbally and in writing).
Demonstrable ability to build financial models and perform quantitative analysis necessary to assess unit economics and financial soundness.
An established industry network within the Melbourne/Sydney venture capital and entrepreneurial community.
Relevant tertiary qualifications, for example Business, Economics or Engineering.
