MedMountain Ventures is a physician-led venture capital firm investing at seed stage in early-stage healthcare companies. Founded in 2018 and based in Salt Lake City, Utah, the firm targets companies with the potential to improve patient outcomes and make care more effective and accessible. Its investment areas include clinical AI, diagnostics, telehealth, medical devices, healthcare technology and care delivery solutions, with portfolio exposure spanning population health, hearing health, mental health and neurotechnology.
The partnership comprises four expert partners with more than 35 years of combined clinical experience across the team. All are board-certified physicians, and the firm brings clinical and healthcare operating knowledge to its investment decisions. MedMountain Ventures has backed more than 20 portfolio companies.
The firm invests early and works closely with founders after the initial cheque. Support is oriented around the practical and operational demands of healthcare - clinical validation, regulatory pathways, contracting and care delivery - and is delivered through the partners' clinical and operator networks.
