About Masia

Masia is a new venture platform connected to the best founders and investors — globally, from Barcelona. We believe exceptional companies can be built from anywhere, but access matters: to talent, capital, knowledge and networks. Masia brings those pieces together through venture investing, a community of founders and technology leaders, and Masia House, our new physical home in Barcelona opening in 2027.

Our first €20M pre-seed fund is backed by 80 Limited Partners — successful tech founders, C-level operators and business leaders with deep expertise in AI and Frontier Technologies. We've invested in 45 companies to date and expect to back another 15–20 over the next 12 months.

The role

You'll sit at the intersection of investments, finance, legal, fund operations and portfolio management, working directly with Masia's partners as a central part of the team.

You'll be the person who makes sure closings don't slip, cap tables reconcile, LP relationships feel institutional, and the systems, tools and processes let us scale from one fund to many. You won't just execute an existing process — you'll build a new, scalable one.

What you'll do

• Coordinate investment closings: documentation, KYC and capital flows
• Manage SAFEs, convertibles, cap tables and follow-on rounds
• Coordinate follow-on investments and portfolio transactions
• Work closely with our management company, lawyers, auditors and depositary
• Own fund accounting, valuations, cash planning and LP reporting
• Maintain accurate portfolio and fund information
• Manage relationships and reporting with institutional LPs
• Set up new investment vehicles and SPVs as the platform grows
• Build the processes, tools and data infrastructure behind Masia
• Take on special projects that don't fit anywhere else — yet

Who we're looking for

3–4 years of hands-on experience in a demanding environment — for example a Big Four, a financial advisory firm, a fund, or an Operations Manager role in a high-growth tech company. Backgrounds in Transaction Services, Financial Advisory, Corporate Finance or Audit translate especially well.

More important than the logo on your CV is how you think about growing a venture platform. You are:

• Organised:extremely reliable and comfortable running several processes at once
• Numerate:financially strong, at ease with cap tables, waterfalls and the small print of investment documents
• Legal-fluent:you can read a SAFE, a term sheet or an LPA and know what really matters
• Bilingual:fluent in English and Spanish at working level
• Hands-on:you solve problems rather than just identify them — you build the spreadsheet, then the system that replaces it
• Curious:genuinely interested in technology, startups and how venture actually works

No prior venture capital experience is required — but you should want to understand how companies, funds and investment structures work, and be comfortable in an environment where not everything has been built yet.
