Long Term Impact is an education technology investment fund that provides pre-seed funding to companies working to improve equity in the US PreK–12 public education system. The fund backs early-stage businesses and founders, including teams that conventional venture capital overlooks, with a stated focus on impact and financial sustainability rather than growth at any cost.
Its structure is unusual for the sector: the fund has no Limited Partners, which means investment decisions are not driven by external pressure to maximise financial returns. Deal terms are correspondingly flexible. The fund offers revenue-based financing, in which repayments are set at a small percentage of a portfolio company's revenue and are sometimes combined with modest equity, alongside traditional equity investments. The approach is oriented towards long-term, sustainable impact rather than rapid growth expectations.
In addition to capital, Long Term Impact provides founder guidance and mentorship to entrepreneurs navigating the education market, drawing on the team's own operating experience building Goalbook. The fund operates in the United States across the education, edtech and PreK–12 public education verticals.
