Role Description This is a full-time remote role at Kalos Ventures. The team member will support sourcing and evaluating investments aligned with Kalos’s thesis in AI, automation, robotics, workforce, care, and education. Day-to-day responsibilities may include market and sector research, analyzing business models and financials, preparing investment memos, and supporting due diligence processes. The role involves regular collaboration with founders, attending virtual meetings, and contributing to portfolio support initiatives such as strategy discussions and performance tracking. The individual will also help refine internal workflows, participate in internal reviews of new opportunities, and contribute to thought leadership content that reflects the firm’s investment perspective.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
- Foundational understanding of technology trends, particularly in AI, automation, robotics, and their applications in workforce, care, and education.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with both internal stakeholders and founders.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across a distributed team.
- Experience or strong interest in venture capital, entrepreneurship, consulting, finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking, and a founder-focused mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degrees are welcome but not required.
