We are leading the green industrial revolution by developing the technologies to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors (like our iron ore operations) while building a global portfolio of renewable energy projects. In support of our ambitious strategy, we have established a Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) operation to invest in early-stage technology companies to seed and stimulate future renewable hydrogen-based markets and support the decarbonization of the industrial sector. We collaborate closely with our portfolio companies, helping to accelerate them towards successful commercialization.

KRING is a venture studio and family of impact funds. In 2016 we created our first commercial fund, KRING Speedbooting 2016 which was followed by our 2019 and 2022 funds. The KRING icon builds on the fundamental values of our work. The circular form references our holistic thinking that has always been a part of the KRING core DNA. Our mission is ‘to invest globally into start-up and high growth companies with technologies of strategic importance to Aramco, to accelerate their development and their deployment in the company. Our focus areas include:Digital & IR4.0 technologies applicable to Aramco’s global operations. We actively support portfolio companies in doing business with Saudi Aramco and in accessing the Saudi Arabian and regional MENA market, including facilitating piloting, business development, localization, and accessing of technical and operational expertise. We participate in OGCI Climate Investments, a joint venture of 11 major oil & gas companies representing 40% of global hydrocarbon production, investing in climate related technologies & solutions relevant to the oil & gas industry. Saudi Aramco also engages with SABIC Ventures, the corporate ventures arm of SABIC, that is focused on new materials and applications, sustainable use of chemicals and plastics, process & resource efficiency and specialty Agri-nutrients.
