We invest in early-stage Indian startups (Pre-Series A to Series B) across aviation, consumer, and allied sectors — backing founders who are redefining the future of mobility, travel, and digital experiences in India.
Role Overview
The Investment Lead will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing venture investments, working closely with the Managing Partner. This role is suited for professionals with 1–4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, investment banking, or the startup ecosystem who aspire to build strong investing judgement and gain hands-on exposure to India’s most innovative early-stage companies.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation
Identify and build relationships with high-potential founders aligned with IndiGo Ventures’ investment themes.
Conduct market scans, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity assessments.
Support end-to-end due diligence including business, financial, product, and legal.
Investment Execution
Prepare detailed investment memos, financial models, and presentation materials for internal discussions.
Coordinate with legal, compliance, and external advisors for smooth transaction execution.
Support term sheet structuring and negotiations.
Portfolio Management
Engage with portfolio founders to support growth strategy, fundraising, and governance.
Monitor portfolio performance and prepare quarterly reports for the Investment Committee.
Research & Thematic Work
Conduct deep-dive research on emerging sectors and business models.
Develop market maps, insights, and thematic content to refine IndiGo Ventures’ investment theses.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
1–4 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or startup strategy/finance.
Exposure to early-stage technology venture funds or corporate venture/innovation programs preferred.
Skills & Attributes
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research capabilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication (especially for investment documentation).
Strategic mindset with ability to evaluate markets, founders, and products critically.
High intellectual curiosity and passion for startups, technology, and venture investing.

Education
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Management from a top-tier institution.
Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) from a Tier-1 institution preferred.
