Role Overview
The Principal – Investments will lead GHX’s investment pipeline, deal execution, portfolio strategy, and investor partnerships. This includes sourcing opportunities across health-tech, medtech, AI/ML in healthcare, digital platforms, and life sciences while ensuring regulatory compliance for all investments in India.
The role also works closely with the Accelerator team to strengthen deal flow, evaluate startups, and support portfolio companies through GHX’s programs.
This is a high-impact role suited for someone who combines strong investment judgment with sector insight and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, venture-building environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Deal Sourcing
Lead sourcing of high-potential startups across India and international markets aligned with GHX’s mission.
Build strong relationships with founders, incubators, academia, health systems, VCs, and accelerators to generate qualified deal flow.
Develop and refine GHX investment theses across digital health, clinical AI, medtech, diagnostics, and care delivery innovations.
Work with the GHX Accelerator team to identify promising startups from cohorts and market-entry programs.
Due Diligence & Deal Execution
Drive end-to-end due diligence – commercial, financial, technical, compliance, regulatory, and competitive analysis.
Build valuation models, financial projections, risk assessments, and investment memos for the Investment Committee.
Structure transactions including term sheets, cap tables, shareholder agreements, and venture studio equity models.
Coordinate with legal counsel on deal documentation, IP arrangements, and closing workflows.
Investment Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
Ensure compliance with Indian investment regulations, sectoral caps, and filings.
Oversee statutory requirements for cross-border investments, investor onboarding, KYC, valuation norms, and reporting obligations.
Work closely with GHX legal, finance, and external advisors to ensure every investment is fully compliant and audit-ready.
Maintain documentation for Investment Committee decisions, portfolio compliance, and regulatory trails.
Portfolio Management & Value Creation
Work closely with founders of GHX portfolio companies on strategy, GTM, pricing, financial discipline, fundraising, and investor readiness.
Track operational and financial KPIs, commercial pilots, partnerships, and enterprise value creation milestones.
Guide startups in preparing data rooms, investor pitches, and growth plans for Seed → Series A → Series B trajectories.
Coordinate with the accelerator team to ensure portfolio companies receive the right mentorship and market access.
Investor Relations & Capital Partnerships
Build relationships with VCs, family offices, strategic corporates, and global investors.
Support fundraising efforts for GHX funds, SPVs, and venture studio vehicles.
Prepare investor updates, dashboards, market analysis, and impact/portfolio reports.
Represent GHX at investment forums, conferences, and strategic dialogues.
Market Intelligence & Research
Conduct ongoing market analysis on health-tech, medtech, clinical AI, regulatory changes, and global investment trends.
Build sectoral viewpoints and investment frameworks that guide GHX’s investment roadmap.
Identify new opportunity areas, white spaces, and emerging models relevant to GHX’s venture studio.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must-Haves
8-12 years of experience in venture capital, PE, investment banking, corporate venture, or strategic investing.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and deal execution capability.
Experience with Indian regulatory frameworks (FEMA, FDI/ODI, Companies Act, investment compliance).
Exposure to healthcare, medtech, life sciences, digital health, or deep-tech sectors.
Excellent communication and ability to represent GHX externally to investors and founders.
Ability to collaborate closely with accelerator/program teams for pipeline evaluation and portfolio support.
Preferred
Experience working in a fund or accelerator with India-centric investment structures.
Understanding of global investment environments (UAE, UK, US) and cross-border deal models.
Experience supporting early-stage founders with GTM, product-market fit, and capital strategy.
