Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Investor Relations to lead fundraising, investor engagement, and relationship management for Fund I and future funds. This individual will be responsible for cultivating Limited Partner (LP) relationships, driving capital commitments, sourcing off‑market deals, and supporting strategic growth initiatives including M&A opportunities. The ideal candidate will also be able to work directly with portfolio companies, helping founders connect with investors, navigate growth challenges, and explore acquisition opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investor relations strategy and execution for Fund I and subsequent funds.
Drive fundraising efforts, targeting multi‑billion‑dollar commitments across real estate, healthcare, AI, energy, and technology.
Leverage existing, trusted relationships with LPs, institutional investors, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds to accelerate fundraising success.
Serve as Head of Investor Relations, managing and expanding networks with LPs, startups, co‑investors, and strategic partners.
Identify and source off‑market investment opportunities that align with Fortuna Future Ventures’ strategic vision.
Partner with leadership to evaluate and execute M&A transactions, including acquisitions of portfolio companies and strategic assets.
Collaborate with portfolio companies to strengthen investor connections, support fundraising, and explore exit opportunities.
Develop compelling investor communications, reports, and presentations.
Represent Fortuna Future Ventures at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, or capital markets within venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
Proven track record as a top-decile fundraiser, raising least $100 million to several billion dollars in capital across diverse sectors.
Established, active relationships with global LPs, institutional investors, and family offices.
Demonstrated ability to source and close off‑market deals and support M&A transactions.
Experience working with startups, including fundraising support, strategic partnerships, or exit planning.
Strong understanding of venture capital, private equity, and deal structuring.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
