The Opportunity 

Joining Forbion as an Analyst offers a unique opportunity to be immersed in a dynamic, ambitious and professional work environment. You will gain wide and hands-on exposure of Venture Capital investing, which include both due diligence and portfolio management activities.

This role is designed for candidates who combine a strong technical or scientific foundation with exposure to real-world commercial environments, such as consulting, venture capital and investment banking, who are motivated to build a career at the intersection of science and investing.

This is a global role, where you will be working on both European and US opportunities as well as supporting projects across both our Growth and Ventures fund strategies.

What You Will Do 

  • Due Diligence Management: Report on, synthesize and generate recommendations based on specific analyses for decision-making to support the overall due diligence analysis. This can be exemplified by the ability to populate, present and synthesize individual slides of an investment committee presentation.
  • Financial Analysis and Modelling: Conducting financial analysis and modelling of opportunities as part of the due diligence process to assess the attractiveness of a potential investment
  • Deal Flow: Process deal flow including, but not limited to, logging of materials and company interactions, as well as screening new investment opportunities. 
  • Portfolio Management and Value Creation: Beyond deal execution, the investment team actively supports portfolio company management teams in developing and executing growth strategies, navigating key challenges, and achieving strategic milestones. The Analyst will assist in the management of portfolio companies

What We’re Looking For  

  • Educational background as Ph.D. or M.D. in life sciences, medicines, or related fields. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking or consulting
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Compelling written and oral communication skills and fluency in English as well as the ability to convey ideas to an Investment Committee with confidence and conviction
  • Ability to establish a work plan, identify and prioritize areas of due diligence.
  • Good transaction and investment judgement.
