ENGIE New Ventures

ENGIE New Ventures is ENGIE Group's corporate venture arm, taking minority stakes in cleantech startups and pairing them with strategic collaboration across ENGIE's energy operations.

ENGIE New Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of ENGIE Group, founded in 2014. It invests minority stakes in cleantech startups working on the energy transition, pairing equity with strategic collaboration between portfolio companies and ENGIE business units. The team of around 10 is based across Paris, San Francisco, Tel Aviv and Singapore, and manages an active portfolio of 23 startups.

Sector coverage spans renewable power, low-carbon gases, power-grid infrastructure, heating and cooling, industrial decarbonization, buildings and cities decarbonization, energy management, energy digitization and energy decentralization. The firm seeks companies with proven technology or business models that are ready to scale across energy markets and across ENGIE's own operations.

Post-investment work is structured around collaboration roadmaps agreed with portfolio companies, including operational pilots. Where pilots succeed, technologies may be considered for industrial deployment within the group. Beyond capital, portfolio companies gain access to ENGIE's market relationships, technical expertise and group opportunities.
