About Emerge

Emerge is Europe's leading early-stage investor in Human Capital Development with a decade of history and $100m assets under management. We back the founders shaping the future of how people learn, navigate careers, and work — a $4tn global market being fundamentally reshaped by AI.

In an age where AI is widening inequality and eliminating jobs, we invest in companies that democratise access to opportunity and unlock human potential by empowering each learner and worker to achieve more and do more meaningful work.

At the heart of our work is a community of Venture Partners — operators who have founded and led the biggest businesses in our market, including Duolingo, Udemy, Beamery, HiBob, WalkMe and OpenAI, representing a combined $1tn in market cap. We have backed almost 100 companies to date, which have gone on to raise $800m from top VCs and create $2bn+ in market value.

About the Role

We have a rare opening on the Emerge core team: Head of Platform, starting immediately. This is intended primarily to be a part-time role of 3–4 days per week.

You'll manage and grow our 100+ strong Venture Partner community of founders, operators and enterprise leaders, who represent $1tn in market cap and act as a core part of our fund DNA. Your job: keep it running like clockwork and take it to the next level.

We're looking for a senior operator with 10+ years' experience, who comes alive in a room full of senior executives, communicates and presents effortlessly, stays hyper-organised, and can run their own show.

Day to day you will work closely with our General Partner, Mario, with weekly touchpoints across the full Emerge team.

Your Core Work Will Involve

  • Run monthly events, online and in person: pitches, investing education, market deep dives, founder clinics, speed-dating and global gatherings from San Diego to Singapore.
  • Day-to-day community management: sending newsletters, tracking engagement and value-add, building automations, mapping VP interests against portfolio needs, and making high-impact tailored matches.
  • New member recruitment: sourcing prospective VPs, securing warm intros, pitching them on Emerge, and onboarding them into the community.
  • Strategy and new initiatives: identifying new ideas to innovate and evolve the VP group, developing and executing them with the team.

About You

We are looking for a senior operator with 10+ years of experience who is a crisp communicator comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, a charismatic connector energised by building community, persuasive at outreach and storytelling, a strategic thinker, highly organised and resourceful, an independent self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, and a fast learner. You are genuinely passionate about democratising access to opportunity and unlocking human potential through technology. AI-native fluency is a nice to have.

Your Background

We're fully open on background. You might come from: Chief of Staff at a fast-growing startup, VP Operations, Head of Growth / Partnerships / BD at a tech company, Innovation or programmes lead at a corporate, Founder of your own startup, or Head of Platform / Community at another VC or accelerator.
