About Droia Ventures

Droia is a specialist venture capital investor dedicated to developing novel medicines for patients in need. Droia invests worldwide in early-stage drug development companies that apply novel science and innovative approaches to bring promising drug candidates to patients in the fight against cancer and genetic diseases.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accountant to join Droia’s finance team on a temporary basis, covering our Accountant’s maternity leave from December 2026 to September 2027. This is a part-time role, three days per week (60%).

Role description and key responsibilities

As Accountant, you will be supporting the day-to-day accounting activities of the Droia funds and portfolio companies, and contribute to Droia’s success by ensuring timely and accurate figures. You will report to Droia’s Director of Accounting.

• Accounting from A to Z
• Processing and booking of AP and AR in line with general applicable accounting principles and our funds’ internal allocation rules
• Management of time sheets and expenses reports
• Preparing invoices
• Follow-up of incoming and outgoing payments
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly and yearly closings
• Assisting with VAT filings
• Assisting with audits

Your profile

• We are looking for candidates with the following background and experience:
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
• You have minimum 5 years of working experience in relevant accounting or controlling roles
• You have a strong knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of Wings accounting software is a plus
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
• You have great team working spirit
• You have strong communications skills
