We are looking for a high-caliber Investment Lead, Venture Capital Investments to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who are self-starters with deep analytical capabilities, sharp investment judgment, and a passion for working with early-stage startups/scale ups.

As an Investment Lead - Venture Capital, you will play a pivotal role in the identification, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities within the startup ecosystem. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end investment process, from sourcing promising startups to conducting due diligence and negotiating deal terms. Your expertise in market analysis and strategic financial planning will be critical in driving investment decisions that align with our firm's vision, culture and growth objectives.

Working closely with our partners and portfolio companies, you will provide strategic guidance and operational support to ensure value creation and sustainable growth. This role demands a deep understanding of global investment trends, markets and technologies, coupled with a keen eye for identifying disruptive innovations. As a seasoned professional, you will also contribute to our firm’s thought leadership and network development efforts, enhancing our reputation in the venture capital community.

Your ability to foster strong relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and industry experts will be essential in building a robust deal pipeline. You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge and analytical skills to assess business models, competitive landscapes, and scalability potential, ensuring that our investments deliver high returns.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Diligence

  • Source and evaluate high-potential startups across diverse sectors.

  • Lead and support financial, legal, and technical due diligence processes.

  • Conduct market and competitive analyses, business model assessments, and exit scenario planning.

  • Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.

  • Lead thorough research across sectors/verticals to qualify exciting avenues for growth/investment.

  • Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders to drive sourcing and co-investment.

Financial & Market Analysis

  • Build and maintain complex financial models including DCF, LBO, and comparables.

  • Analyze cap tables, liquidation preferences, and fundraising scenarios.

  • Evaluate unit economics, cohort behaviors, and long-term growth projections.

Portfolio & Stakeholder Management

  • Monitor/report portfolio company performance and investment return projections.

  • Support follow-on funding rounds, strategic exits, and M&A activities.

  • Provide hands-on fundraising support, coaching and guidance to portfolio founders.

Internal Operations & CRM

  • Manage deal flow, track progress, and maintain robust documentation using CRM tools (Affinity, Salesforce, Notion, Airtable, etc.).

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance investment processes and pipeline reporting.

Required Technical Skills

  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Strong command of DCF, LBO, comparables, cap table modeling, and exit scenario planning.

  • Quantitative Analysis: Advanced Excel (macros, scenario modeling), SQL for data queries, and familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint).

  • Market Research: Proficient in TAM/SAM/SOM modeling, SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces, and SaaS/marketplace/deep tech business models.

  • Technical Acumen: High-level understanding of tech architecture, APIs, product stack; basic coding knowledge (Python, R) preferred.

  • Diligence & Execution: Experience with SAFE/convertible/equity structures, term sheets, board structures, and legal documentation.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling software and tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, PitchBook).

  • Solid understanding of market research and data analytics platforms.

  • Familiarity with legal and compliance aspects of venture capital investments.

  • Experience with CRM systems and portfolio management software.

  • Competence in using digital communication and collaboration tools.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of investment strategies with firm objectives.

  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and thought leadership forums.

  • Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a similar field.

  • Proven track record of successful investments and/or exits in the startup sector.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and valuation.

  • Excellent negotiation and deal structuring skills.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of technology trends.

Education/Certifications (Preferred)

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)

  • CFA Level I & II certifications

  • Python (basic to intermediate proficiency)

  • MBA - Global top 25 program

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
