Associate, CVS Health Ventures, Market Development

The Associate position on the CVS Health Ventures (CVSHV) Market Development team is a highly analytical role at the intersection of venture investing, corporate strategy, and portfolio value creation. You will help CVSHV stay connected to CVS Health’s strategic priorities, deepen enterprise relationships, support portfolio companies partnering with CVS Health, and contribute to strategic projects and investment theses. Diligence support may arise; this is not primarily a direct investment role.

About the Team

CVS Health Ventures invests in and partners with companies with technology-enabled innovation potential in healthcare, enabling entrepreneurs to scale through enterprise capabilities and consumer touch points.

Market Development optimizes financial returns and advances enterprise strategy: fostering portfolio growth via internal collaboration and VC relationships, and enhancing enterprise value through insight generation and high-value connections.

Core Responsibilities

• Enterprise Engagement & Strategic Intelligence: Drive engagement strategy with CVS Health business teams; translate strategic priorities into insights; support executive special projects.
• Portfolio Strategy & Value Creation: Evolve value-creation model; connect portfolio companies with CVS stakeholders; drive portfolio reviews; support select companies directly.
• Strategic Projects, Theses & Investment Support: Lead market/thesis projects; synthesize competitive dynamics; contribute to fund-of-funds diligence as needed.
• Admin & Travel: Meeting/event logistics; 10–15% travel.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years (excluding internships) in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, VC/CVC, or similar
• Healthcare, healthcare services, or healthtech market experience
• Drive ambiguous work independently; strong senior-leader communication and relationship-building; high ownership

Preferred

• Financial modeling, market analysis, diligence
• Portfolio company / platform / partnership experience in an investment org

Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent. Location: Hybrid NYC or Boston (1–2 office days/week). Pay: $111,240–$222,480 base plus bonus eligibility.
