How we partner for the long-term Starlight is a Pre-Seed and Seed investor and ideally the first institutional check into your company. Having been in your shoes as founders and scientists ourselves, we will serve as an ally in the journey ahead. Here’s what you can expect from working with us: We will lead or co-lead your first institutional round. We reserve capital for follow-on investment in later rounds, and we have to ability to partner with our LPs to augment our participation in future opportunities. We will be personally invested in your success, as a large portion of our fund comes from our own team. We will put a particular focus on ensuring that your roadmap is focused on the key risks and milestones unique to addressing the most pressing problems. We will work with you to establish rock-solid governance and operational practices that hold up to the scrutiny of the world’s best institutional investors. The mission of our strategic venturing program – our sustainability and digital/industrial funds – is ‘to invest globally into start-up and high growth companies with technologies of strategic importance to Aramco, to accelerate their development and deployment in Aramco’s operations’. Our Prosperity7 program seeks to invest in highly scalable ventures, led by world-class management teams, with disruptive technologies and business models, outside of the energy sector. We aim to be a value-adding strategic investor. With an in-house business development team, we actively support portfolio companies in doing business with Aramco and accessing the Saudi Arabian and regional MENA market, including facilitating technical collaboration, piloting, business development, and accessing technical and operational expertise. We leverage Aramco’s extensive network of business partners, influencers, and access to capital. Our team of highly experienced investment professionals provides portfolio companies with guidance, support, and access to a global network. We lead the majority of our investments, and in most instances seek board positions or observer rights. We are professional and collaborative in our approach, working with founders, management teams, and co-investors to add value to our portfolio, seek win-win outcomes, and develop long-term relationships. We invest across the capital stack, from the early stage to the growth stage. We also selectively make smaller seed investments in promising early-stage companies and partner with 3rd party fund managers and other corporates in sectors and geographies of interest.
