Charge

We are Charge Ventures, a New York-based venture capital firm investing at the pre-seed and seed stages in technology companies across the United States. We partner with consumer, prosumer, and product-led founders, often from the earliest days of a company, and help them move from zero to meaningful scale. Our portfolio spans companies in areas including AI, fintech, healthcare, consumer products, marketing, enterprise software, developer tools, logistics, media, and climate and deep tech.

We can be a company’s first check, with our website describing initial investments of $500,000 to $1.5 million and continued support in later rounds. The team is led by General Partners Brett Martin and Chris Habachy. We aim to make investment decisions without a committee and provide founders with a direct, responsive partnership. Charge has been investing since 2015 and is based in New York City.
