Buildit VC

Buildit VC is a Baltic venture investor and accelerator founded in 2013 and based in Estonia, focused on early-stage hardware, IoT and other physical-device ventures. The firm operates two connected vehicles: the Buildit Accelerator Program, which pairs funding with practical support in product development, manufacturing, positioning, pitching and fundraising, and the Buildit VC Fund, which backs companies at the stage of turning prototypes into market-ready products and ambitious ideas into investable businesses.

The accelerator has run 18 batches and supported more than 100 startups, drawing on a mentor network of more than 90 people across over 15 countries. Mentor expertise spans engineering, product design and crowdfunding, and portfolio companies can access manufacturing contacts in the Baltics and Europe. Sector coverage includes hardware, IoT and Industry 4.0, alongside productivity software, energy, mobility and health technology. Geographic reach extends across Estonia, the Baltics, the Nordics and Europe.

The programme is described as demanding: it expects teams to commit, accept feedback and retain ownership of their own strategic decisions. Hands-on guidance in building physical products is the defining element of the model, distinguishing it from software-weighted early-stage investors in the region.
