Role overview
Blume Equity is looking for a highly motivated and intellectually curious person to join the team for a one-year placement. The role offers exposure to deal assessment, due diligence, market research, fundraising, and fund operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities by reviewing materials and conducting market research, financial modelling, and competitor analysis.
- Support due diligence, including reviewing financial statements, business models, and competitive positioning.
- Help prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
- Conduct thematic deep dives to build investment theses and identify promising companies.
- Monitor emerging market trends and investment themes relevant to the fund.
- Support co-founding partners on fundraising, collateral, and client requests.
What Blume is looking for
- At least 2 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, or investment banking.
- Strong analytical and research skills across business models, financials, and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with financial modelling, valuation, and industry analysis.
- Interest in scale-up-stage companies and climate tech.
- Commercial mindset, excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; financial modelling experience is a plus.
