BayStartUP is the central institution for startup financing in Bavaria, connecting innovative founders with the capital and expertise needed to build their companies. The network's core function is to bridge the gap between early-stage ventures and investors, providing a structured pathway to seed and growth funding.
Its primary activities include running the Bavarian Business Plan Competitions and extensive coaching programs. The organisation's central asset is its access to a broad investor network, comprising over 400 business angels and more than 200 institutional investors. Since 2015, BayStartUP has mediated 578 financing rounds, facilitating an investment volume of EUR 627 million.
As a regional ecosystem player, BayStartUP operates within Bavaria's innovation landscape. Its role is to de-risk the capital-raising process for startups by validating business models and providing direct introductions to a vetted pool of capital providers, functioning as a key intermediary in the regional venture market.
