About the Role
We're looking for a CFO to lead all financial operations as we scale Fund II and grow our LP base. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to build institutional-grade finance infrastructure at a fund focused on one of the most exciting sectors in venture capital.
You'll work directly with the General Partners and be responsible for everything from capital calls and distributions to LP reporting, compliance, and financial strategy. This role requires someone who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level—comfortable presenting to institutional LPs one day and reconciling fund accounting the next.
What You'll Do
Fund Operations & Reporting
Oversee capital calls, distributions, and LP communications
Manage quarterly and annual LP reporting to institutional standards
Coordinate with fund administrators on NAV calculations and financial statements
Ensure accurate and timely K-1 preparation and delivery
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and maintain fund-level financial models and forecasts
Manage cash flow and liquidity across funds and management company
Support fundraising efforts with financial materials and data room preparation
Advise on fund economics, fee structures, and carry allocation
Compliance & Controls
Build and maintain internal controls and compliance infrastructure
Liaise with external auditors during annual audit process
Ensure compliance with SEC, LP agreements, and fund governing documents
Partner with legal counsel on regulatory matters
Portfolio Support
Conduct financial due diligence on prospective investments
Support portfolio companies with financial guidance as needed
Track portfolio performance metrics and valuations
What We're Looking For
Experience
8+ years in finance, with meaningful exposure to venture capital, private equity, or fund operations
Experience with fund accounting, LP reporting, and capital call/distribution mechanics
Track record of building or scaling finance operations at an investment firm
Familiarity with SEC compliance and registered investment adviser requirements
Skills
Strong technical accounting skills (CPA preferred but not required)
Excellent financial modeling capabilities
Clear communicator who can translate complex financial information for diverse audiences
High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
