Scope:
Plays a pivotal role in supporting the Global Accelerator Fund / Accelerator Operations team, working closely with a collaborative group of program, investment, and communications professionals including senior leaders across regions. This role is primarily engaged in marketing execution and operational support for accelerator programs, fund and portfolio visibility initiatives, and external-facing communications.
The Marketing Assistant helps elevate 500 Global’s brand by supporting campaign development, content creation, events promotion, partner communications, and digital channel management, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality delivery across global markets. The role also contributes to performance tracking and reporting, helping identify insights and opportunities to strengthen program engagement, founder outreach, and ecosystem visibility.
Essential Functions:
Support the execution of marketing initiatives tied to accelerator programs, portfolio support activities, and ecosystem engagement, ensuring deliverables are timely and aligned to brand standards.
Assist with campaign planning and coordination, including timelines, content needs, and stakeholder alignment across regions and teams.
Create, edit, and organize marketing content (basic copywriting + asset coordination), including:
Program announcements, founder spotlights, event promotions, and partner communications
Email newsletters and onboarding materials
Social media content drafts and scheduling
Maintain and update marketing calendars, databases, and distribution lists, ensuring accurate segmentation and communications tracking.
Support and execute event marketing and ecosystem activations end-to-end, including planning, promotion, stakeholder coordination, onsite support, and post-event follow-up.
Assist in the collection and organization of materials such as pitch decks, program brochures, founder bios, and portfolio highlights for internal and external use.
Monitor and report on key marketing performance metrics (email engagement, website traffic, social engagement), providing summary insights to support future planning.
Support basic administrative marketing functions such as vendor coordination, asset requests, and file organization in shared systems (Drive, Notion, Asana, etc.).
Collaborate cross-functionally with Investment, Platform, Partnerships, and Global Ops, ensuring messaging is consistent and aligned with program goals and firm priorities.
Contribute to special projects as needed, including market research, competitive benchmarking, and ecosystem mapping to support marketing strategy and program positioning.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of marketing, communications, events, or operations experience (including internships).
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to create clear, compelling, and professional content.
Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Drive, Slides) and comfort learning new tools quickly.
Experience supporting digital marketing channels (email, social, web), including scheduling or campaign coordination.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and follow-through.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently while coordinating across teams.
Strong interest in entrepreneurship, venture capital, and emerging tech/startup ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications:
AI fluency. You are on top of the latest trends and tools in AI and are comfortable using them and understanding the broader perspective across the AI landscape.
Highly curious and a rapid learner, able to ramp up quickly and develop strong subject-matter understanding in a short time.
Experience in venture capital, startups, innovation programs, accelerators, or founder-focused ecosystems.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Pardot, etc.) and/or CRM tools (Salesforce, Airtable, Notion).
Basic design or asset coordination skills (Canva, Adobe Express, Figma, etc.) and comfort managing a content library.
Experience coordinating events, webinars, and ecosystem activations (including speakers, partners, RSVP systems).
Working knowledge of web and social analytics tools (Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insights, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
Experience supporting a global, multicultural team, with strong sensitivity to regional nuance and brand consistency.
Strong interest or exposure to storytelling about founders, innovation, investment trends, and impact narratives.
