Founded in 2006, Techstars began with three simple ideas - entrepreneurs create the future, collaboration drives innovation, and great ideas can come from anywhere. Today our mission is to make innovation accessible to everyone, everywhere. We do this by connecting startups, investors, corporations, and cities to create a more sustainable and inclusive world. Since 2006, Techstars has invested in more than 2,200 companies and today has a market cap of $27 Billion.

Our work directs how capital is formed and distributed to expand opportunities for Black and historically excluded communities. We actively reimagine the innovation economy by developing the next generation of venture capital leaders in communities where entrepreneurs face barriers to accessing capital. Our vision is to build a global innovation economy where Black and historically excluded innovators can boldly create, fail, invest, and thrive. Our origins are rooted in the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), which forged opportunities for Black Americans in a time when our country would not. We are anchored in this intention, and similar to HBCUs, we purposefully extend our support to all overlooked communities, including but not limited to Indigenous, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and undocumented immigrants. We know that innovation lives within us–and has been untapped, underinvested, and ignored for far too long.

Since its debut, WILCO (formerly known asScientipôle) has continually expanded and transformed to create optimum value for entrepreneurs and enterprises through consistent innovation. WILCO is dedicated to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit * with curiosity, communication and outside-the-box thinking that benefits and inspires startups, Midcaps and Large Groups. * Association eligible for sponsoring scheme according to article 238.4 of the French Tax Code We currently have two locations: one in the heart of Paris, the other at Plateau de Saclay, France’s very own Silicon Valley. Accelerator in the heart of Paris WILCO moved to the Marais in summer 2020. This new location is ideal for startups past and present, Mid-caps, large groups, investors and mentors to meet and mingle. Our aim is to discover and foster synergies between different players at exclusive events. Our people-driven dynamic allows for a melting pot of excellence and innovation that benefits all entrepreneurs and independent thinkers. At the heart of the Paris-Saclay innovation ecosystem Since our launch, WILCO has always called the Paris-Saclay international technology hub home. This prestigious enclave brings together higher education, innovation, R&D, companies of all sizes and numerous local startups. The “30” is a new space dedicated to coworking and company creation at Paris-Saclay, Massy.
