YZi Labs is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Portfolio Management Lead to oversee and optimize the performance of our investment portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with the investment team to drive value creation, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with YZi Labs’ long-term investment objectives. You will be instrumental in managing relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and mitigating risks across a diverse set of early-stage and growth-stage companies in emerging technology sectors.
Responsibilities
Manage and monitor the performance of portfolio companies, tracking key metrics and milestones to ensure progress against strategic goals.
Serve as a primary point of contact for portfolio companies, providing operational support, strategic guidance, and facilitating access to resources.
Collaborate with founders and leadership teams to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and potential risks.
Coordinate with internal teams including investment, legal, and marketing to support portfolio company needs.
Conduct regular portfolio reviews and prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors.
Assist in the development and execution of value creation plans tailored to each portfolio company’s unique challenges and opportunities.
Support fundraising efforts and exit strategies by preparing materials and participating in investor communications.
Build and maintain strong relationships within the startup ecosystem to enhance deal flow and partnership opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in portfolio management, venture capital, private equity, or startup operations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with founders and stakeholders.
Experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies, preferably in technology sectors such as Web3, AI, biotech, or fintech.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
