The Role
SHAPE THE PORTFOLIO EXPERIENCE
Manage our portfolio product. Research and validate portfolio company investment data, and help improve the view that allows investors to track the value of their investments.
GUIDE POST-FUNDING MILESTONES
Lead founders through post-funding events, including subsequent financing rounds, acquisitions, and IPOs. Make these processes smooth for both founders and investors who may not be familiar with them.
OWN FUND TAX OPERATIONS
Handle taxes. Manage 150+ SPVs as well as taxable events for our funds every year. This will require meticulous management of all parties involved — from founders, to our team, to external CPAs.
STRENGTHEN INVESTOR RELATIONS
Support investor relations. Help founders communicate with their investors and work with our customer success team to answer complex investor questions.
CHAMPION FOUNDERS AFTER THE RAISE
Be the internal champion for founders after they raise on Wefunder. Advocate for them, empathize with them, and set clear expectations for them.
Location & Culture
We're strong believers in an in-person culture. Our HQ is in San Francisco — we have two offices, one in the Mission and one in Seacliff with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
We're a small team of ~30 that hires carefully. In this new AI world, one star can outcompete 10 average people. We'd rather stay lean, move fast, and spend our time building — not navigating big-company bureaucracy.
We're tight-knit enough to spend 10 days on a train together without killing each other. Four times over the years, we've all taken the Amtrak coast to coast, stopping in 12 cities. We're a team of doers and thinkers who are insatiably curious — not just about work, but about kickboxing, mountaineering, chess, and everything in between.

You don’t let things fall through the cracks.

You learn very quickly and have an innate curiosity to dive deeper. You will need to learn how funds work in the crowdfunding world.
INITIATIVE, DRIVE, AND URGENCY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS
You develop systems to be more efficient over time. You’ll leave your mark on how we do things and grow with the company.
RUTHLESS PRIORITIZATION
You will be the primary point person for founders as they go through the crazy process of fundraising on top of having dozens of competing priorities. You know how to get things done while also building for the future.
EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION
You can code-switch between building rapport with CEOs, alleviating concerns from skeptical CFOs, discussing valuations with investors, and fielding questions from diligent attorneys.
ABILITY TO THRIVE IN AMBIGUITY
You’re comfortable asking a lot of questions. You prefer being thrown in the deep end. You aspire to learn every small detail about the fundraising process.
FUND OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Experience with fund management and taxes is preferred for this job.
