In this role, you will be an integral part of the We Venture Capital team at Werfen. You will project manage top dealfunnel and ensure dealflow move though our processes, as well as drive deal sourcing, deal analysis, and supporting the due diligence processes. You will build and maintain relationships with dealflow sources such as tech transfer offices, accelerators and VCs as well as other deal flow sources. You will support the senior team and support the analyst interns.
Key Accountabilities
- Sourcing - Finding new startups to invest in and making the initial outreach.
- Analyze and evaluate dealflow.
- Manage top dealflow funnel
- Networking and Brand-Building – Attending events and conferences, and speaking with other key contacts in the industry.
- Conduct research on markets, technology use cases and industry trends.
- Support the overall goal of knowledge sharing with the wider Werfen organization.
- Support day-to-day activities of We Venture Capital in collaboration with team
- Network with tech transfer offices, accelerators, innovation network other venture capital firms, broaden investor network, and network with relevant sources for dealflow
- Solicit market intelligence and share it with relevant stakeholders
- Prepare reporting documentation as needed
Networking / Key relationships
- With tech transfer offices, start-up ecosystems, national investor relations agencies and other relevant players to enable network and deal flow

Specific requirements
- A genuine passion for the start-up scene and venture capital investments
- Strong understanding of healthcare market landscape and the dynamics of in-vitro diagnostics industry
- Ability to take initiative and source tasks independently

- High level skills in MS ppt, excel and word or similar tools
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position
- Education: A master's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacology or similar with consistent outstanding academic record; an MBA from a top business school or Ph.D is preferred.
- Experience: Understanding of the healthcare industry
- A passionate interest in new technology, startups and finance
