Role Description

The Financial Analyst role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting investment decisions and portfolio management. Daily activities include building and maintaining financial models, analyzing startup financial statements, and preparing data-driven reports and insights for the investment team. The Financial Analyst will assist with financial planning and scenario analysis for both existing and prospective portfolio companies, helping evaluate unit economics, growth metrics, and capital requirements. The role also involves monitoring financial performance across the portfolio, contributing to quarterly and annual financial reporting, and supporting due diligence on new investments. Collaboration with investment professionals, founders, and cross-functional partners is expected to provide clear, actionable financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance knowledge, including understanding of venture capital, startup economics, and investment principles.
  • Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills for financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements, including interpreting balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, including budgeting, performance tracking, and investor-ready reporting.
  • Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include advanced proficiency in Excel or similar tools, familiarity with BI or analytics platforms, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, international environment.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or startup finance is an advantage.
