  • What is SquareOne’s average ticket size? SquareOne typically invests between EUR 350k and 3,5m in B2B Enterprise and Saas Technology companies in Europe.
  • At what stage does SquareOne invest? We focus on Pre-Seed and Seed investment rounds - we are excited to be the first institutional investor in the cap table. DayOne with SquareOne!
  • In what geographic areas does SquareOne invest? We invest all over Europe.
  • Does SquareOne lead rounds? Yes, we lead rounds but we can also co-lead.
  • Does SquareOne follow-on? Yes, if we have invested in the pre-seed round, we will **always** do at least our pro rata in the follow-up round. We would like to ensure the right signaling for your fundraising and therefore maximize the probability of it.
  • Multi-stage fund vs. single-stage fund: SquareOne is a single-stage fund, which means that we only do Pre-Seed and Seed investments. At early company stages, we recommend single-stage or single-GP funds, as incentives are 100% aligned with the founding team → setting up the base to build a huge company and maximise the probability of follow-up funding. Multi-stage funds, that also do Seed investments, often do not put enough focus and attention on those companies. This is driven by simple math: They deploy small tickets compared to their overall fund size. Additionally, founders take in significant signalling risk, as the multi-stage fund might not follow-up / lead the next round.
