What the Job Offers
We are currently looking for a motivated Visiting Analyst to support us for a three- to six-month mandatory or voluntary internship in Düsseldorf on a rolling basis, ideally starting in January 2027 or later. Your task is to support the team in the identification of disruptive start-ups and the execution of venture capital activities.
- Support in deal flow origination and tracking of investment opportunities
- Conduct market research and analyze potential investments with scrutiny as part of the financial and commercial due diligence processes
- Speak with entrepreneurs to discuss their ideas and companies
- Join discussion on final investment decisions as part of the investment team
- Support the portfolio post-investment including ongoing performance assessment of portfolio companies
- Contribute in developing Simon Capital internal structures and processes across various topics
Who We Are Looking For
- Enrolled students of economics or with technical background having completed at least the second year of studies and preferably with focus and interest on venture capital, M&A, finance
- Previous experience through internships in investment banking, consulting, transaction services or startups preferable
- Strong analytical skills and structured way of working
- Very good handling of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Good communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Understanding of diverse business models and mental flexibility
- Fun in dealing with tomorrow’s disruptions for the next generation and openness for innovative topics
- Self-starter, self-motivated, distinct ability to work in a team, hands-on mentality
