About Shift4Good
Shift4Good is a global venture capital firm investing in technologies that are transforming and decarbonising transportation.
Shift4Good has offices in Paris and Singapore, with a presence in Luxembourg, Sweden and Canada. We operate as one global team, so you’ll work closely with colleagues across these geographies.
We invest in Series A and B technology companies decarbonising the movement of goods and people at scale, across road, maritime and aviation — spanning Physical AI, electrification and energy solutions, new mobility models, logistics, alternative materials and fuels, and the circular economy.
The Role
We are recruiting a Venture Capital Analyst to join and strengthen our Singapore investment team. You'll be a primary point of responsibility for scouting the best investment opportunities and participating in due diligence, with a focus — though not an exclusive one — on Asia, while also supporting due diligence in our other geographies when required. An important part of the role also includes portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and screen high-quality investment opportunities, building a proactive pipeline of Series A/B technology companies, particularly across Asia.
- Meet founders and management teams and assess their business models, technologies, markets, competitive positioning and teams.
- Conduct and contribute to due diligence across strategy, business, talent, impact and financial matters, developing independent analysis and investment recommendations.
- Prepare Investment Committee materials and supporting analysis for investment decisions.
- Build strong relationships across the startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and industry experts.
- Support portfolio companies through performance monitoring, early identification of issues and opportunities, and selected value-creation initiatives.
- Use AI and other tools to improve sourcing, research, due diligence and analysis, continuously helping the investment team work more effectively.
Key Performance Indicators
- Quality of investment opportunities sourced — relevance to our thesis and progression through the investment process.
- Quality of due diligence and investment analysis — rigor across strategic, business, talent, impact and financial matters.
- Quality of portfolio management — timely monitoring, early identification of key issues and meaningful value-added support.
- Quality of relationships developed — within Shift4Good and across the startup and investment ecosystem.
- Effectiveness of investment processes and tools — reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Skills You'll Develop
You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full venture capital cycle — from sourcing and investment thesis development to due diligence, valuation, investment structuring, portfolio management and impact assessment — while developing your investment judgment and network within the startup ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, research and communication skills, with fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Intellectually curious, rigorous and entrepreneurial, combining ambition and confidence with humility.
- A genuine interest in environmental impact and technologies that can decarbonise transportation at scale.
- Comfortable using AI tools in daily work, with genuine curiosity to keep exploring new AI-powered ways of researching, analysing and writing.
- Exposure to transportation, mobility, energy, climate technology or related sectors is a plus.
- Experience working across Asia and/or Europe is a plus.
