Sharp Alpha is a New York-based investment firm founded in 2019 that backs founders building businesses around competitive entertainment and adjacent consumer interests. Its mandate spans sports, gaming and entertainment, with a focus on companies tapping into consumers' competitive spirit.

The firm combines two financing structures. Early-stage equity investments of $1-10 million are made at seed and Series A, alongside non-dilutive growth capital intended to fund customer acquisition. The growth financing is repaid as the acquired customer cohorts generate revenue, aligning repayment with cohort performance rather than diluting founders. Strategic resources and hands-on support are provided to portfolio companies alongside capital.

Named portfolio companies include Almost Friday Media, Players Lounge, Jackpot.com and Triumph Labs. The team brings prior experience from BlackRock, Major League Soccer, Boston Consulting Group, AQR, Elliott Management and Caesars.
