Servier

Servier is an independent global pharmaceutical group governed by a non-profit foundation, developing medicines in oncology, cardiovascular and rare neurological diseases.

Servier is a global independent pharmaceutical group founded in 1954 in Orléans, France, by Jacques Servier. It is governed by a non-profit foundation, a structure that removes external shareholder pressure and directs all profits back into therapeutic development. The group employs over 21,900 people representing more than 50 nationalities and operates in over 130 countries, with Servier Group medicines reaching approximately 100 million patients daily.

Research and development is the group's principal use of capital. Close to 20% of brand-name medicine revenue is reinvested in R&D, and roughly 70% of the R&D budget is allocated to oncology, alongside cardiometabolic and cardiovascular research and rare neurological disorders. The stated scientific objective is first-in-class and best-in-class drug development. The infrastructure supporting this comprises six research centres and 19 International Centers for Therapeutic Research.

Notable products in the oncology portfolio include TIBSOVO and VORANIGO, both developed for difficult-to-treat cancers. The group's stated 2030 ambition is to create benefit for patients and to make the world more sustainable, and its operating values emphasise innovation, care, commitment and collective growth.
