About us
Seedcamp is Europe’s oldest seed fund and proud first investors in Revolut, UiPath, Wise, Fluidstack, Synthesia and many other multi-billion dollar companies.
We’ve been delivering best in class returns for nearly 20 years and have just kicked off Fund VII and Select Fund II totaling $320m.
We’re an investment team of 7 and a wider team of 19. Most of us have worked together for a long time – several for more than 10 years. That level of trust has enabled us to scale across the US and build an unrivalled bundle of transatlantic products for our portfolio. At the start of each new fund, we publish our fundraise slide deck, so feel free to check out our full story, team and portfolio.
We’re now looking for 1 or 2 exceptional people to join our team to help us find and support Europe’s next legendary entrepreneurs.
About the role
We want people who are endlessly curious about technology, with the relentless hustle to force open any door and the emotional intelligence to build deep relationships with founders. You have probably decided that you want to spend the next twenty years in venture or are considering building something of your own in the future.
The Analyst/Associate Programs last for two years during which you will be embedded in the investment team with an unusual level of autonomy. You can expect to do the following:
- Source and analyze startups across the continent
- Build your own network of founders, operators and investors
- Grip legals, cap tables, preference stacks and all the other sexy parts of the job
- Attend, launch and run events in the startup ecosystem
- Drive content and communication activities for the fund
- Be part of investment decisions, diligence and cross-portfolio support
- Start to work with some of the companies we invest in
- Learn from an extremely high-performing team across sourcing, selecting, winning and supporting
Previous Seedcamp investment team members have founded other funds like Tiny, become Partners at funds like Point9, built businesses like CityMapper, lead teams at Meta and of course gone on to lead Seedcamp itself.
About you
The best talent comes from everywhere and we are not looking for a specific background or experience. We have a 50/50 gender split with a strong belief in the importance of hiring diverse teams. Our team has roots from all over the world including India, Honduras, Bolivia, Portugal, Iran, Switzerland and South Africa.
Ultimately, we’ll be looking for someone who can demonstrate they have a mix of the following traits:
- You have 2-4 years of experience in a field that reflects your genuine interest for technology. This could include (but is not limited to) founder/product/operational roles in fast-growing startups, previous VC or PE experience, M&A or strategy consulting.
- Perhaps you’ve built a product/company or led on a tech-related side hustle you’re able to tell us about. We’re far more interested in demonstrable intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for the world of technology than we are in top university degrees. It’s a bonus if you are technical or semi-technical.
- You’re a self-starter who thrives in navigating uncertain, fast-paced environments. There is often no single right answer in the work you’ll be doing and you’ll have to get comfortable making quick decisions with limited information and with little direction.
- You’re an independent, highly analytical thinker. You like to form you own views by digging deeper to understand things beyond the surface level. You’re not afraid to think outside mainstream opinion and challenge the status quo.
- You have incredible attention to detail. You approach problems in a data-driven manner and you constantly have an eye open for where internal processes can be refined.
- You’re a team player who loves working with others and who excels at building genuine relationships with a wide range of people. We love those who have unique personalities with a high degree of self-awareness.
- You have some network in startups already. We’re especially interested in connectivity in the DACH, Nordic and CEE regions.
If you don’t align with all these requirements exactly but think you’d be a strong fit for the role, we’d still love to hear from you.
Benefits
- Competitive salary
- Private healthcare
- Access to the most powerful startup network in Europe
Sounds like you?
