Screen Capital

Screen Capital is a Santiago-based investment firm financing Latin American film, television and entertainment projects, including Spanish-language content for streaming platforms.

Screen Capital is a Santiago-headquartered investment firm that finances audiovisual and entertainment projects across Latin America. Founded by Joyce Zylberberg and Tatiana Emdin, the firm focuses on Spanish-language content and has a global outlook on where that content is distributed and consumed, with particular attention to streaming platforms. The firm launched a $20 million fund in 2020, aimed principally at television series and movies. Average investment per title was reported at around $2 million at launch; the portfolio focus has since broadened to encompass wider entertainment and audiovisual opportunities. Industry verticals span film, television series, streaming and Spanish-language content more generally. Screen Capital employs several financing mechanisms rather than a single instrument, including co-production, direct investment, credit lines and gap financing - bridging the point at which a producer has partial financing but cannot yet close the budget. Its stated orientation is toward producers and creative talent in Latin America, with an emphasis on flexible structuring to help projects access capital. Geographic presence is anchored in Chile, with a regional mandate across Latin America and an international distribution perspective on the projects it backs.
