Sawari Ventures is a venture capital firm headquartered in Cairo that invests in knowledge- and innovation-based companies at early and growth stage across North Africa. The firm deploys through two vehicles: North Africa Fund I, which combines international development finance and regional capital with local knowledge to back startups across the region, and Egypt Fund I, with an equivalent structure focused on Egypt. A smaller allocation is made at seed stage through investments in two Flat6Labs seed-stage vehicles, extending the firm's reach into the earliest part of the market while supporting the regional ecosystem.

The investment footprint spans three countries - Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco - with 19 portfolio companies to date. Sector coverage is broad within technology, encompassing consumer internet, fintech, edtech, healthtech, deeptech, e-commerce and enabling infrastructure. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations are incorporated into the investment process.

Alongside capital, the firm provides operational and strategic support to portfolio companies, a model it describes as going beyond funding to include expertise and value creation.
