The Rural Revival Fund invests in tech startups solving real problems in rural America, focusing on companies that already have revenue and are raising Seed through Series B rounds. Starting and scaling a business isn't easy—we've been there. As serial entrepreneurs and experienced fund managers, we know what it takes to grow a company, and we're here to back founders who are ready to do the work.
We're looking for entrepreneurs working at the intersection of technology and rural opportunity, specifically in these three areas:
Manufacturing Tech: Automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing solutions that make it economically smart to build in America—especially in rural communities where talent, facilities, and operations can thrive.
Sustainable Housing Tech: Innovations that tackle the housing tech landscape with scalable and affordable solutions.
Future of Work: Tools and platforms that make remote work seamless and accessible for everyone.

The Role
We're looking for a General Partner who gets rural America—not from reading reports, but from living it or investing in it. You understand the unique challenges and incredible opportunities that exist in America's small towns, and you're ready to help us back the bold entrepreneurs building there.
What We're Looking For
Rural DNA: You've either invested in rural startups, built businesses in small-town America, or grown up in the heartland. Rural communities aren't a thesis to you—they're home, or they feel like it should be.
Network in Our Target States: You have strong connections to startup ecosystems and entrepreneurial networks in at least one of our focus states: Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia. You know the players, the founders, and the opportunities on the ground.
Fundraising Experience: You've raised capital before—whether for a VC fund, a startup, or another venture. Bonus points if you have existing relationships with LPs or have built LP networks that would be interested in our mission.
Investing Affinity: You're drawn to the work of evaluating startups, supporting founders, and building portfolio companies. A formal track record isn't required—we care more about your judgment, passion, and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
What You'll Do
Source and evaluate investment opportunities across our three focus areas
Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs in rural communities
Support our fundraising efforts and help expand our LP base
Work closely with portfolio companies to help them scale
Represent the fund at conferences, pitch events, and in founder communities
Help shape our investment strategy and fund direction
Who You Are
We're open to a variety of backgrounds. You likely have experience in corporate venture capital, economic development, or business development—environments where you've learned to evaluate opportunities, build networks, and think strategically about where capital can create impact. You're comfortable on a call with a manufacturing automation founder in a small Tennessee town one hour and talking shop with an LP in New York the next. You believe that great companies can be built anywhere, and you're ready to prove it.
This is a fully remote position—work from wherever you do your best work.
