RRE Ventures is a 32-year-old early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Founded in 1994 by former American Express CEO Jim Robinson III, Jim Robinson IV, and Stuart Ellman, the firm has invested in 40+ unicorns and 400+ portfolio companiesâincluding Business Insider, Datadog, Digital Currency Group, Noom, Olo, Ripple, and Spring Health.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an Analyst to join our early-stage investment team in New York City. We seek a candidate who is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about technology and markets, has exceptional analytic skills, and can work collaboratively with the firmâs senior investment team, as well as RRE portfolio entrepreneurs and management teams. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of professional experience at a venture capital fund, private equity firm, investment bank, or strategy consulting firm. He or she also has strong deck building and financial modeling abilities, as well as proficiency with a range of AI tools. A technical education or background is strongly preferred but not required. This is not a 9-5 role, but it is a highly rewarding way to work across multiple domains at one of New York Cityâs most well-known venture capital funds.
The role includes:
- Conducting diligence on early-stage investment opportunities, a process which typically involves conducting expert interviews, building financial models, building cap table models, and writing investment memos
- Preparing presentations and research materials to support discussions with RREâs Limited Partners
- Acting as a resource to RREâs portfolio teams in whatever capacity they require, (pitch deck creation, cap table modeling, financial modeling, general research, introductions to later-stage investors, etc.)
- Sourcing investment opportunities by establishing relationships with other venture firms, leveraging tools like Pitchbook, and building original theses
- Supporting RREVU, RREâs publicly-traded SPAC entity
- Consistently representing RRE at startup-related events in New York City and sometimes beyond

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Salary range: $100,000-120,000

- Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors, including an individualâs experience, skills, and qualifications
- Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
