About the Position & Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to join our team in Munich. This is a rare chance to step into the world of venture capital and gain hands-on experience in finance and fund administration. In particular you will perform the following tasks:
Handle day-to-day accounting & cash management tasks (invoices, expense tracking, reimbursements)
Prepare financial fund reports and monthly/quarterly closings in close collaboration with our external fund administrators
Liaise with external accountant, auditors, tax advisors and public authorities
Act as the first point of contact for fund investors and coordinate closely with portfolio companies to ensure efficient and consistent reporting
Coordinate internal and external events (investor meetings, offsites, conferences)
Take ownership of our marketing activities (primarily on Linkedin) and content management for our website
Oversee basic office administration and assist the management team with travel planning and calendar coordination
What we are expecting from you
In our small and agile team setup we are looking for (self)-fire starters who can perform tasks autonomously and seek true impact. Your skill set and experience should include:
At least 2-3 years of work experience in accounting, tax, auditing or another financial focused job
Completed vocational training (“Ausbildung”) or university degree in finance, business, or a related field
Solid accounting knowledge (German GAAP “HGB” - IFRS is a plus but not required)
Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
Curious about venture capital, finance, and fund operations
Good communication and collaboration skills in both English and German (written and spoken)
Openness to explore AI solutions to improve efficiency and automate workflows
A special feature - flexibility
We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid setup with home office options, as long as at least 8 hours per week are spent on-site (can flexibly distributed across multiple days) at our Munich-Schwabing office.
