R77 Global is exclusively partnering with a high-growth international venture capital firm to appoint a sharp, commercially minded Venture Capital Lawyer. Youll be at the heart of deal flow and portfolio support across iGaming, FinTech, SaaS, and Digital Media, working with founders and investors who move quickly and expect pragmatic, business-first advice.

What youll do
- Own the transaction docs end-to-end: draft, review, and negotiate shareholder agreements, investment/share purchase agreements, constitutional docs, term sheets, SAFEs/convertibles, cap-table mechanics, and investor rights.
- Guide deals to close: lead legal workstreams with co-investors and external counsel, balancing high standards with speed and budget discipline.
- Safeguard value post-investment: support follow-ons, governance, board matters, secondary sales, and exits.
- Be the point of truth: act as the primary legal contact for portfolio companies on negotiations and transaction-related issues.
- Advise across borders: provide practical guidance on venture, corporate and regulatory issues in multiple EU/EEA jurisdictions.
- Manage risk, not momentum: flag issues early and propose commercially realistic solutions that keep decisions moving.
- General commercial support: review and draft core agreements (employment, services, advisory, marketing/SEO, IP & licensing) as needed.
- Coordinate external specialists to ensure quality, pace, and cost control.
What youll bring
- EU-qualified lawyer (Maltese or other EU admission) with a solid academic background.
- 3+ years experience in early-stage venture capital, a startup-focused law firm, or a family office investing in early-stage companies.
- Strong grounding in corporate/VC transactions and international deal execution.
- Clear, confident communicator with excellent business and legal English and a negotiation style that builds trust.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Exposure to iGaming or lead-generation/affiliate businesses.
- Understanding of Maltese and international corporate tax or investment management regulations.
- Familiarity with ESOPs, data protection, and IP-heavy commercial models.
