Pontaq

Pontaq is a cross-border venture capital fund manager, founded in 2015, that backs technology businesses operating between the United Kingdom and India. Its investment approach, described by the firm as "cross-border pollination", targets innovations with the potential to transfer between markets and supports founders as they scale across both geographies. Investments span UK regions and Indian states, with market access extended into the wider European market.

The firm concentrates on four sectors: agritech, healthtech, fintech, and climate and clean technology. Since launch it has built a portfolio of more than 150 companies.

Beyond capital, Pontaq provides a value-creation platform to portfolio companies from the start of an investment, intended to accelerate growth, reduce costs and increase revenue while preserving founders' equity. Support includes mentorship and access to UK and European markets, and the firm describes its posture as founder-friendly, working alongside founders through difficult decisions.
