Pinecone is more than a venture studio, we are a platform for entrepreneurship and innovation.
Through our studios in Sweden, Norway and the UK, we build companies from idea to growth,
prepare spin-outs and are now taking the next step with a potential fund structure. Everything
we do is driven by a passion for long-term value creation - for founders, shareholders and the
European early-stage ecosystem.
We are now looking for a Group CFO to shape the financial strategy and architecture of the
entire Pinecone Group. This role covers the group, its studios, portfolio companies and
upcoming fund structures. You will be a key partner to the founders and board, ensuring
financial clarity, scalability and alignment as we grow internationally.
Key responsibilities
● Overall financial responsibility for the Pinecone Group and its subsidiaries
● Group consolidation and IFRS-based group reporting
● Ownership accounting across subsidiaries, associates, minority interests, and spin-outs
● Strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management at group level
● Financial setup, reporting, and governance for investment vehicles and potential
funds
● Supporting and guiding studios and portfolio companies on financial matters, structure,
and scalability
● Establishing valuation principles and financial frameworks for portfolio holdings
● Risk management, compliance, and coordination with auditors and external advisors
● Working closely with local accountants and finance partners across geographies
to ensure accurate statutory reporting and alignment with group standards
● Selection and implementation of scalable finance systems and processes across
geographies
We are looking for someone who
● Has experience as a CFO or senior finance leader with group structures, ideally
within investment, venture, private equity, or tech environments
● Thrives in a fast-moving environment where structures are built, tested, and scaled
quickly
● Has strong knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation
● Is comfortable with complex ownership structures, valuations, and multi-entity setups
● Has international experience and thrives in cross-border environments
● Combines strong financial discipline with an entrepreneurial, business-driven mindset
● Is confident engaging with boards, investors, and external stakeholders
We offer
● A central, highly influential role in a fast-growing, international group
● The opportunity to build financial structures from the ground up, not just manage
them
● Close collaboration with founders, board and management in Pinecone Group and our
studios in Sweden, Norway, UK and future markets.
● A dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with high ambition and strong values
