We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with strong experience in financial due diligence for early-stage startup investments. This role will work closely with the investment team on portfolio startup deals and will also manage end-to-end finance and compliance for our management company.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial due diligence for portfolio startup investments (Pre-Seed to Series A)
* Review historical financials, cash burn, unit economics, working capital, and related party transactions
* Validate cap tables, past issuances, and financial compliance for private placements
* Prepare DD reports and red-flag summaries for the investment team
* Support private placement transactions and review financial clauses in investment agreements
* Coordinate transaction closings and post-closing financial compliance
* Oversee accounting, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances for the VC management company
* Manage audits, filings, MIS, and internal financial controls
* Act as a finance SPOC for portfolio startups and internal stakeholders
Requirements
* Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
* 3–7 years of relevant experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, VC/PE, or startup-focused CA firms
* Strong understanding of startup financials, private placement transactions, and early-stage deal dynamics
* Ability to work independently in a fast-moving investment environment
